About Me
My name is Marlene “Laney” Waller. My husband and I moved to The Villages, Florida - a 55+ community - in 2021 with too much stuff and had to downsize quickly. Like others in our community, we found that our house had limited storage; moreover, the extremely high summer temperatures in the attic and garage made those spaces unsuitable for storing media such as photos, tapes, CDs, slides, paintings, and other cherished, but perishable items. This motivated me to learn how to properly digitize, organize and display these items, then apply what I had learned to help other Villagers preserve their family legacies.
Company Name
I named my company "For Ann's Sake - Digitizing Memories LLC" as a tribute to the mother-in-law Ann Besser Beckler whom I never had the privilege to meet. Loved by many, she left this world way too soon. Not only does my company name pay tribute to past generations of Anns, but also to subsequent generations such as my niece Anna. In fact, I believe most people have Anns in their families, worthy of honoring by passing on their families' photo legacies and stories.

Scanning and Digitizing
I scan photos, artwork, documents, slides and negatives in-house at competitive rates. With your permission, media such as cassette tapes, old movies, and photo restoration services go to reputable providers that are approved by The Photo Managers professional group.

Photo Books
Photo books can beautifully capture your memories or special occasions in soft or hard copy, including lay-flat formats, in various styles and sizes, and can often be shared online.

Vintage Memory Books
I love compiling your family’s favorite photographs, anecdotes, and genealogical history with some historical context to create a unique keepsake for your family’s current and future generations to treasure! Oral and video stories can be stored in the books using QR codes.

Digital Photo Frames
I can offer a nice selection of digital frames to create a beautiful slide show. We can add captions to help those with memory impairment remember medicines and faces and encourage reminiscing. This can improve quality of life too by encouraging dialogue with family and nursing staff.
